**作品について**

BEAUTY STANDARDは、メイクアップによって形づくられる現代女性の「美」の基準をテーマに制作したデジタルアートです。

私たちは日常の中で、アイメイクやリップ、シェーディングなどを用いて、理想とされる美しさへと近づこうとします。まつ毛を長く見せる、鼻筋を通して見せる、肌を均一に整える。その積み重ねによって、美しさはまるで一つの「正解」があるかのように共有されています。

しかし、その美しさは本来の姿そのものではなく、時代や文化、社会によって生み出された価値観でもあります。

この作品では、そうした「美」の基準をあえて誇張し、抽象的なフォルムとモノトーンを基調とした色彩の中に、鮮やかな赤をアクセントとして配置しました。

美しさとは何か。本来の自分らしさとは何か。

現代社会が作り出した「理想の女性像」を見つめ直すきっかけとなれば幸いです。

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

BEAUTY STANDARD is a digital artwork exploring the standards of female beauty shaped by makeup in contemporary society.

In everyday life, we use eye makeup, lipstick, contouring, and other techniques to move closer to an idealized image of beauty. We make eyelashes appear longer, define the shape of the nose, and create smooth, even-looking skin.

Through the repetition of these beauty practices, certain features gradually become accepted as though there were a single “correct” definition of beauty.

Yet these ideals do not necessarily represent our natural appearance. They are also values created and influenced by society, culture, and the era in which we live.

In this artwork, these conventional beauty standards are deliberately exaggerated. Abstract forms and a predominantly monochrome palette are contrasted with vivid red accents, emphasizing the artificial construction of an idealized female image.

What does it mean to truly be yourself?
